Growing up in Minnesota has been great to me. I have lived in Minnesota for the last 26 years. I grew up in the rural side of Owatonna, MN. It is the home of Cabela’s. My mom and dad still live in the same house that I grew up in. They are truly easygoing people. It is awesome to go back to Owatonna where the people would still identify me when I drive there.
My wife’s name is Becky. We met at Winona State University. We still visit Winona in the spring and the fall. It is one the most beautiful towns that I’ve been too. Becky works as an infant teacher. It is fun to listen to her talk about her day as opposed to talking about my day at work. We work well together because we understand each other well. We both know when to enjoy each other’s company, and when to run as fast as we can away from each other.
I’m a real simple man, but I can be highly enthusiastic. Sometimes I can be calm and quiet, while other times I can be highly active. I graduated from Winona State University in December of 2002. I double majored in Accounting and Business Administration. I was hired at R & D systems in January of 2003. I’m currently working for R & D Systems as a Cost Accountant. There are three Cost Accountants including my boss. We update the cost to every raw material in every product twice a year. I spend a lot of my time at work because I enjoy my job.
My wife and I have been living in Fridley for the past 2 years. Fridley has been good to us. It reminds me of Owatonna, because it has the small town atmosphere that Becky and I both like.
I am a competitor. I like to compete in many sports. I’ve been learning to play Wallyball for the last couple of years. Actually, I started playing racquetball, which was one of many sports I like to play. I would come to Central Courts to play racquetball when I saw a group of people playing Wallyball. I told the owner of the Racquetball club, “Hey that does look like fun.” I knew that I wanted to try something new. It has been challenging, but it has been fun to play with this group of dynamic people. It is this type of enjoyment that makes me want to give something back.
