My name is Bill Reedy and I was born and raised in Geneseo, IL. My friends and family consider me a sports-aholic. I’ve played baseball, basketball, football, softball, racqueteball, volleyball and wallyball. I’m currently living in Bettendorf, IA.
Played volleyball wheter it be in sand or indoors for about 20 years. Have played wallyball for over 20 years. Started reffing volleyball in 2003 for the Moline Parkboard. I helped run the Hawkeye tap volleyball leagues and tournaments since 2002. This consisted of recruiting the teams, doing the schedules for 6 nights with 16 teams per night, keeping the standings, doing the end of season tournament brackets, updating the house rules and trying to get the refs on the same page. We have 2 Charity tournaments and one house tournament each year that I organize, do the brackets for and help ref. This year (2006) I cut back to just running their tournaments, doing the schedules and keeping track of the standings.
I took over running the wallyball leagues at North Scott Fitness Center in Eldridge this year. I also started a league at Rock Health and Fitness Center in Davenport in October of 2005. 4-5 nights per week are consumed by me reffing or playing volleyball/wallyball.
I’ve played in several out of state wallyball tournaments and organize all the Iowa WIN! Wallyball tournament.
